Marco Fernandez<\/h3>\n \n

This is a difficult one, but I think it has to be when I was elected president of the Business club for the 2015-2016 academic year. There were a lot of activities my team and I organized but the one event that did stand out was the business fashion show exhibiting formal business wear is what comes to the front of my mind whenever I stroll down memory lane.<\/p>\n \n\n\n \n

Ana C. Mendes<\/h3>\n \n

I remembered spending time, studying, and having fun with my friend at the blue area. We spent most of the time learning from each other and studying for tests and exams. It was my favorite part of the day because I knew that if I was struggling with a subject or class my friends were always there to support me. ECC was more than a college, it was the community that allows me to build relationships for a lifetime.<\/p>\n \n\n\n \n

Allison James<\/h3>\n \n

I enrolled into ECC as a non-traditional student at the age of 46 years old. I was nervous and didn\u2019t know what to expect. However, my professors and fellow Wolverines welcomed me with open arms. As a result, I was able to pivot in my studies. Some of my greatest memories at ECC are graduating with honors (Cum Laude) and making history as a first generation graduate out of seven siblings.<\/p>\n \n\n\n \n

My favorite Course was Advance Computer Graphics, I enjoyed every aspect of the course because it allowed me to have the opportunity to create aesthetic and artistic layouts, logos, Brand concepts, image manipulation, and the opportunity to learn to use a few of the most advance contemporary graphic Softwares today.<\/p>\n \n\n\n \n

Edward Dimbo <\/h3>\n \n

It is difficult to narrow down my fondest memory at ECC because so many great ones come to mind. But if I was to try, I would probably say the entirety of my time spent in the honor's program. During my 2 years in the program, I was privileged to have met a lot of great people who I would later on call dear friends. Every moment spent with them serves as an indicator of the great times at ECC. From spending hours in the honors room to club meetings and food truck trips, those memories still serve as some of favorite moments in my entire college experience.<\/p>\n \n\n\n \n

Eugene Williams<\/h3>\n \n

When I was in high school I never studied at all, I was not even supposed to graduate. I almost didn\u2019t. I went to college by accident because I didn\u2019t know what else to do. I wanted to go to Trade School, six months to a year, and be done with it. Now decades later after living a life, I chose to attend Essex County College for a financial course that I had wanted to take for 20 years, and it was there I met Professor Hammond who pushed me to explore my passions, and other courses at ECC. Without him I would never have graduated, because I had lost the motivation.<\/p>\n \n\n\n \n

Chinazo F. Akpu<\/h3>\n \n

There are too many fun memories as an ECC student. Hanging out in the honors room in the red area with my colleagues had to be the best. We chit chat all day with jokes on intervals about something that happened in lecture that day. Then we proceed to get food from either the school cafeteria or one of the food spots within the vicinity. These times were invaluable as they formed a foundation for lasting friendships in people even up to this day. <\/p>\n \n\n\n \n

My capstone research, project and presentation. I presented on E=MC2, Albert Einstein\u2019s famous theory of Special relativity, its importance, impact on the society (atomic bomb and microwaves), and the future direction and undiscovered applications and research.<\/p>\n \n\n\n \n

Jayson Hull<\/h3>\n \n

This is a difficult question to answer because I had too many memorable moments as an ECC student. If I am to highlight memorable moments, they stem primarily from my involvement and experience as the president of the Student Government Association at ECC. A few campaigns my team and I embarked on to improve the Wi-Fi access for students across the building, and increase accessibility for disabled students are a few highlights that come to mind whenever I reflect to my time as a student.<\/p>\n \n\n\n \n

Nesseline Belceus<\/h3>\n \n

My favorite memory is with the Engineering Club! The club was not active until a group of us eager students came together to work on building a concrete canoe, and other fun projects with the help and assistance of professor Dimopolous. We were able to design, construct the concrete canoe, and demonstrated that a concrete it could float! It was such a fun day and to see the shock on those who believe it could not happen was priceless! <\/p>\n \n\n\n \n

Edwin Mwallo<\/h3>\n \n

The best moments involved the people I met while I was a student here. The connections I made, the conversations, and the friendships helped me navigate life in the US as a new immigrant into the country. Also noteworthy, was the opportunity to participate in a summer research project working on biomathematical model of the cell membrane. It was through this experience that I got to learn Python which proved useful in my most recent co-op experience at Johnson and Johnson.<\/p>\n \n\n\n \n

I loved going to Dr. Lee\u2019s class Bio 103-104. It was a great class as he used to bring the best conversation and topics every time. A lot of other fond memories are from the fun hours I spent being around the blue area, meeting different people, and the cultures and the conversations that came from there.<\/p>\n \n\n\n \n

There is no one particular moment for me. I think most of my memorable moments came from classes I took with Professors Castillo in Calculus II, and Professor Aquaye in Engineering Dynamics.<\/p>\n \n\n\n \n

Stephenie Carter<\/h3>\n \n

A wonderful memory stems from my time with the Fashion Entertainment Board (F.E.B) that I still hold dear. F.E.B was more than a club; we were a family. F.E.B. always produced a yearly fashion show each year in May. The club spent time planning for this event and learning what it takes to put a production together from start to finish. However, we always made time for the Community through fundraisers, walkathons, and other engaging events to represent our beloved College. This was largely in part to our advisor Gerald Holloway, who worked for the college as well.<\/p>\n \n\n\n \n

Wisline Norde Edmond<\/h3>\n \n

I am grateful for the opportunity to share one of my favorite memories from my time at ECC. It was a touching incident that occurred one evening, Tuesday 2018, in a taxation class with Professor Afolayan in room 4161. I was experiencing difficult time because my husband was the sole provider for my family. I usually spent the entire day at ECC. I used to have classes Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. and again from 7:25 p.m. to 9:10 p.m. One evening in my taxation class, I was so exhausted that I could not even sit properly. I leaned back in my chair, listening to my stomach's request, which I was unable to respond to. Imagine what could happen! I heard a sound and noticed the door was opening. I mistook it for a student opening it to enter the classroom. Nope! It was the Chairperson of my Major Division, Dr. Augustine Boakye who stopped by to greet and encourage student to well-prepared for great successful result. Unbelievable Dr. Boakye did not only stop to encourage, but he also responded to my stomach. He bought two trays of mixed cookies and Sodas. I jumped into the trays right after his speech and grabbed some cookies to help me burn off some energy. My hypoglycemia had passed, and I had learned enough from the instructor's lecture that evening. A servant leader saved my life. I believe Dr. Boakye was simply following his spirit, which told him that someone needed food. I simply thanked God for it and never had a chance to even mentioned it to no one.<\/p>\n \n\n\n \n
